Staff at the terminus of the Glutton Valley Railway are having a bad start to their day. A broken rail has tipped a loaded coal wagon off a slightly higher siding into the path of Cicely, which was just coming from the engine shed in order to pull the early morning commuter train. Not only has the locomotive been derailed but the line's second engine has been trapped in the shed by the incident. As the manager hurries to assess the situation he also notices that rusted pipework on the water tower has burst and water threatens to flood the yard. The passengers standing hopefully on the platform will undoubtedly be in for a protracted wait.
