Being a very minor station on the PB&VMR, Otteroake Lane is only provided with a grounded narrow-gauge carriage body to serve as passenger accommodation. One sawn off end of this carriage has been converted into a small 'signal box', containing two levers, an armchair and tea making apparatus. The gatekeeper, having left his door ajar, is about to see it demolished by Theophane, pulling smartly away with a passenger train, with a crew who seem much more interested in a couple of passengers than looking at the way ahead!
